Willard Brown, 90, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center.

He was born August 3, 1935, in Jamestown, Kentucky, the son of Prentice and Lula (Page) Brown. Willard married Mary Recher on May 18, 1957.

Willard was a graduate of New Castle High School and Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He also attended Lipscomb University, earning a Christian Education certificate. He served in the United States Army from August 1957 to August of 1959. He was a member of Crossview Church in DeKalb, Illinois.

He is survived by his sons Steve (Joy) of Orlando, Scott (Patti) of Aurora and Brett (Carin) of Champaign; his grandchildren Devin, Zach, Zoey, Kevin, Colleen (Brandon), Caitlyn, Noah (Audrey), Channah (Kriegh) and Caleb; his great grandson Caspian; and his brothers Marshall and Charles.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; and his parents.

The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Oak Crest Retirement Center Chapel, 2944 Greenwood Acres Drive, DeKalb, Illinois with Rev David Wood officiating.  Willard will be laid to rest privately at Willow Lawn Memorial Park.
