ROXANA "SUSY" DEKING

Roxana “Susy” DeKing of DeKalb and formerly of Aurora, passed away on August 30, 2025 at Kishwaukee Hospital. She was born in Bolivia on August 5, 1952 the daughter of Raul and Lia Telleria.  
Loving wife of Jeffrey; Beloved mother of Rebecca. She is also survived by her sister Zandra (Bill) Gray. Aunt of Kathy (Vincent Costello) Gray, Steven (Lisa) Gray, Andrew (Melissa) Gray and Daniel (Heather) Gray; also several in-laws, nieces and nephews, through Jeff’s siblings and their children.  Susy is also mourned by her family in and around Coripata, the town of her birth.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Landy Gamez and Mother in law Margaret DeKing. 
She carried an infectious joy that lit up everyone around her. Always ready to lend a hand, always overflowing with love, she gave so much of herself to others. Her quirks made her unforgettable, her humor brought light to even the heaviest days. There will never be anyone quite like her—she was truly one of a kind.
A visitation will be held on Saturday September 6, 2025 from 10am until time of service at 1:00 pm at Bethel Assembly of God, 131 W Elm St, Sycamore, IL 61078. Interment Monday September 8, 2025 at 10:00 am in River Hills Cemetery in Batavia. 
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the DeKing Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home.
