Rosa Lee Whitlock, 97, was born October 10, 1927 in Lumpkin, GA. She passed away on December 11, 2024 at Presence Mercy Center in Aurora, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Oscar Whitlock. 

She is survived by her three sons  James E. King, George E. King and Daryl E. King, her two brothers  Willie Sherman and Roy B. Sherman; and her many Grandchildren.

Rosa retired from The Illinois Secretary of State Office in 1989. She returned to Albany, GA. in November of 1992. 
She was very active in her church, volunteering there every week. She enjoyed golfing with her friends and playing cards. She returned to Aurora, IL in September 2023 to be closer to her Grandchildren. She enjoyed watching football on Sundays and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
 
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday May 9th, 2025 at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.  Burial of cremated remains will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
