Rodney A. Hall, 59, of DeKalb, passed away Friday October 13, 2023 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, surrounded by family.
He was born October 26, 1963, in Sycamore, the son of Kenneth and Josephine "Dolly" (Pesuth) Hall.
Rodney attended St. Mary's, DeKalb Public Schools and was a graduate of Northern Illinois University.
Rodney was an active volunteer for the DeKalb County Forest Preserve. He also enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and his favorite season was autumn especially harvest time. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brother Gene (Kimberly) Hall of Normal, his sister Annette (John) Rissman of Sherborn, MA, and his brother Ronald (Debra) Hall of Cortland; nine nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in DeKalb, with Rev. Dean Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
The family would like to thank Compassus and Journey Care Hospice for their care and compassion during his illness.
