Robert Conrad Johnson, 91, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center.

He was born February 19, 1934, in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Walter and Minnie (Lindeberg) Johnson. Robert married Norma Jean McLean on September 4, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in DeKalb.

Robert was a Veteran of the US Army, serving at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. He was President and CEO of Barber-Greene and President and Chairman for the National Bank & Trust Company of Sycamore. He enjoyed serving on local community boards.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren David (Ruth) Johnson and their children, Marielizabeth and Patrick, Mark (Deborah) Johnson and their daughter, Sarah (Joel) Callies,  Steve (Leslie) Johnson and their children, Taylor (Vince), McLean (Philip), Anna and Evan, Karen (Chris) Daleo and their children, Satchel (Madilyn Gleed) and Maris; his great grandchildren Vinnie, Mackenzie, Ada and Leslie.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma; his parents and brothers.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at First Lutheran Church, 324 N 3rd Street, DeKalb. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
