Roberta M. Brewer, 92, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.

She was born April 29, 1934, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd and Esther (Auvil) Grubb. Roberta married John Brewer on June 2, 1950, in Salem, Illinois.

Roberta was a long time employee at Jewel in DeKalb.  She was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church and was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Sycamore.

She is survived by her sons Robert (Connie) Brewer of Nixa, Missouri, Richard (Susan) Brewer of Mount Vernon, Missouri, and Steve Brewer of Sycamore; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her husband John; her parents; her grandsons Joshua and Evan Brewer; her brother James (Irene) Grubb; and her daughter-in-law Eileen Brewer.

The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb with Rev. Steve Persson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
