Richard "Rick" White Jr., 66, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, due to complications from Parkinson's disease, with his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 48 years, Sharon, by his side. Rick was born on June 20, 1960, in Sycamore, Illinois.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Sharon White; his children, Shawna (Brian) Kerwin, Joe (Jenelle) White, and Rick (Carisa) White; his grandchildren, Lacie, Jordon, Jacob, Jayson, Brady, Jordan, Cody, Trinity, Lexis, Kyle, Jasmine, Keygun, Kaydence, Nolan, Noah, and Kierra; his great-grandchildren, Ellie, Helena, Oliver, Waylon, Reba, McKenzie, Christopher, Beau, Silas, Freya, Athena, and Odin; his sister, Penny; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Abbie Jo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Donna White; his brother, John; and his infant siblings, Pam, Jimmy, and Jodie.

Rick loved riding his motorcycle, shooting pool, and spending time outdoors. For more than 20 years, Parkinson's disease never defined him. He continued to work full time, care for Sharon, take Abbie Jo for daily walks, and never missed an opportunity to spoil his grandchildren.

The greatest gift he gave his family wasn't something they could hold in their hands, it was the example he set every day. He taught his children the value of hard work, perseverance, and always putting family first, not through words, but by his actions.

Rick had a way of teaching life lessons that his family will never forget. If you had two hands, you changed your own oil. If you didn't pay the bills, you didn't walk into someone's house, you knocked. If you borrowed someone's car, you returned it with more gas than when you borrowed it. Never drink the last soda; if you took one, you put one back. Thumb under the hammer, not over, or she'll bite you. Keep the bikes shiny side up. Keep a Snickers and a Pepsi in the boat "just in case." Never let your alligator mouth override your hummingbird butt. And speaking of butts, your butt goes in the seat before your feet! Those weren't just sayings they were Rick's way of teaching responsibility, respect, and common sense.

His famous "baby duck sneeze" never failed to make Sharon, his children, and his grandchildren laugh. It's one of the countless little things they'll carry with them forever.

In keeping with Rick's wishes, there will be no funeral services. He asked to be remembered not for how he left this world, but for the life he lived, the laughter he shared, the values he passed on, and the love he gave so freely.
