Patricia Susan Bidstrup, 80, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born April 28, 1944 in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Singleton) Binkley. Patricia married Kenneth Bidstrup on July 14, 1962 at the First United Methodist Church in DeKalb.

Patricia was a graduate of DeKalb High School class of 1962. She worked for the Sycamore School District as transportation director for twenty five years, a job she loved. She oversaw the purchasing, hiring and overseeing of  everything to deal with transportation. Patricia enjoyed family trips to Jamaica in February and she loved to decorate especially at Halloween. 

She is survived by her husband Kenneth; her daughter Debra Bidstrup; her sister Nancy (Stephen) Storey; many nieces and nephews; and many friends whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Richard Bidstrup Jr.; her parents, and her sister Barbara Meyers.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.  

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
