MICHAEL WAGNER Obituary

Michael (Mike) Wagner, 68, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 17, 1957, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Merlin and Mary (Sweeney) Wagner, and was raised on a farm in Zwingle, Iowa.

Mike worked in the automotive industry, where he held various roles in sales, management, and consulting throughout a career that spanned nearly 50 years.

Mike enjoyed anything that involved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to golf and watch his grandchildren’s extracurricular events. An avid sports fan, Mike rooted for the Cubs, Bears, and Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is survived by his wife, Terri; his children, Trent (Jen) Wagner of Elgin and Jason (Lamia) Wagner of Wheaton; his grandchildren, Trestan, Kyla, Cameron, and Zayd; and his siblings, Marty (Dawn) Wagner, Mark (Jan) Wagner, Mary Kay (Louie) Haverland, and Matt (Amy) Wagner.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be held.
