Michael Eugene Johnson, 55, of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at The Grove of St. Charles.
He was born February 15, 1969 in Maple Park, Illinois, the son of Eugene and Margaret (Olson) Johnson.
Michael was a concrete foreman with for 35 years and regularly donated his labor to Habitat for Humanity. He was also a Volunteer Firefighter for Maple Park Fire Department in his twenties.
Michael was a typical trade Dad and would point out every foundation, driveway or sidewalk that he poured on every car ride. He will always be remembered for being loving and generous to others. He wore his heart on his sleeve.
He was the loving Dad of his sons Micah (Tayler) Johnson of Maple Park and Noah (Cassandra) Johnson of Aurora; and “Ampa” Ike to his grandchildren Kellie, Knox, Axl and Rowan; and his sister Julie (Eric) Gullstrand of Amboy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 18, 2025 at Maple Park American Legion, 203 Main St, Maple Park IL, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM.
