MICHAEL R. BONNEAU

Michael R. Bonneau, 74, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at his home.

He was born, September 1, 1949, in Blue Island, Illinois, the son of Donald and Edna (Weiland) Bonneau. Michael married Mary Rhoades and have been married for over 54 years.

Michael was a machinist and foreman. He coached his kids sports passionately and loved family poker nights, DIY and woodworking. Michael had a dry sense of humor, if he teased you, he loved you.

He is survived by his wife Mary; his children Wendy (Bonneau) Stanis, Tim Bonneau, Becky (Jacobson) Bonneau, Nicole (Bonneau) Hall, and Michael Hall; his grandchildren Damen Bonneau, Derek Hall, Mariana Hall, Zack Bonneau, Emily Bonneau; his dogs Chance and Crystal that never left his side; and many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Sharon Thomas and Bonnie Verschuren; his brother Joe Bonneau, and cousin Jean Mansmith.

Michael was loved by all, friend to all and will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
