MARILYNN M BUSHUE

Marilynn M. Bushue, 87, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at home in DeKalb.

She was born November 10, 1935 in Altamont, Illinois, the daughter of Elvin and Margaret (Duckwitz) Kopplin. Marilynn married Elwin L. Bushue  on August 14, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont, Illinois.

Marilynn was employed at Sears for 15 years. She enjoyed sewing family clothing, quilting, flower and vegetable gardening, crafts, fishing and spending time with grandkids and great-grandkids. 

She is survived by her husband, Elwin; two daughters, Lisa (Mark) Oltman and Amy Bushue (Dan Nelson); three grandchildren, Rachel (Patrick) Fox, Ross Oltman and Blake Bushue; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Kranz, Luke Oltman, Ava Kranz, and Kooper Kranz; siblings, Vera Pfenninger and Dale (Kaye) Kopplin; numerous nieces and nephews.    

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elvin Kopplin.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb with Rev. Marty Marks officiating. Burial will follow at Malta Cemetery in Malta, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
