Marguerite F. Key, 102, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 21st, 2023, at Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Norman Key, and her sisters Rosalie (Barney) Ill of Hinsdale, IL, Gertrude (Robert) Brigham of DeKalb IL, Josephine (Bart) Main of Lisle, IL and her nephew Thomas (Lodovica) Main.

 She was born June 21st, 1921, in Chicago IL, the daughter of Cameron and Rose (Kopf) Fish. Marguerite married in 1951 to Dr Norman Key.

Marguerite graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master's Degree in Public Health. She was employed at the Arlington County schools as Director of Counseling for 40 years.

 Marguerite contributed to the Northern Illinois University College of Education Foundation, and the Kishwaukee College Foundation. Further she served on the committee which brought the rural school house onto the campus of NIU. She was also an active participant in the NIU's Lifelong Learning Institute. She enjoyed music, theater, painting, golf, friendships, and family.

 She is survived by her nephews Robert (Alina) Brigham Jr, David Brigham, Dr. Bartl (Donna) Main, Dr. Alan (Janet) Main, and Michael Main; and a great aunt to many.

 The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 6, 2024, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N. Annie Glidden Rd, DeKalb, with Rev. Blake Richter officiating.
