Margaret "Marge" A. (Lakemacher) Hunt,86, of Sun City Center Florida, passed away on November 26, 2025 after a short illness. Marge was born to Marilla and Elmer Lakemacher and was raised in Chicago, Illinois. After completing High School, she continued on to Illinois Wesleyan University where she graduated with her Nursing Degree in 1959. Shortly after, she would then marry James R. Hunt on June 19,1960.

Marge and James R. moved to Sun City Center, Florida in December 1993 once they grew tired of the Illinois winters where they settled nicely into retirement. After James R.'s passing, Marge would start to travel more either by ship or plane to many places including Alaska, Maine, Ireland, and Israel while also making it to her class reunion for Nursing. She was a choir member at her local Methodist Church and also continued her Nursing career working part time in hospice, home health care and also became an EMT later in life. 

Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband, James R., and her grandson, Jakob. She is survived by her sister, Linda Barkan (Lakemacher) of San Marcos, California; her sister-in-law, Jean Johanson (Hunt) of Lyons, Illinois; her two children, Diane (Mark) Budesheim of Sun City Center, Florida, and James D. (Patti) Hunt of Sherman, Texas; her three grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Coonrad of Wynantskill, New York, Rebecca (Christopher) Bibbs of Denison, Texas and Justin A. Hunt of Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois; her four great grandchildren, Jossolyn, CJ, Meadow and Isaiah along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10:00cst until 1:00pm cst at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 South 4th Street, Dekalb Illinois 60115. Funeral service to follow at Fairview Park Cemetery, 1600 South 1st Street, Dekalb Illinois 60115.
