Margaret L. Cotter, 89, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away at the DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center on March 15, 2025, six days shy of her 90th birthday.
Margie was born on March 21, 1935, in DeKalb, the daughter of Ray and Ella (Kubat) Davis. She enjoyed being with and taking walks with her friends while living at the Taylor Street Plaza. But family was most important to her.
She is survived by her daughter Penny (Tracy) Cotter, of Phoenix, AZ; her granddaughter Mellissa (Matt) Alvey, of Green Bay, WI, and their two children, McKenzie and Mason; and her nieces Carol (Ron) Rogers, of DeKalb, IL and Connie (Don) Weaver, of Clare, IL; along with grand nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Warren and Arlie, her sister Ilene (Kenneth) Brown, and her niece Cathy Tooley.
According to Margie’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Private Interment. As she was a cancer survivor, any memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
