Lynn Levine, 79, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
He was born March 26, 1945, in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Milton and Roberta (Mullins) Levine.
Lynn loved and was so proud of his family. He was intelligent, creative, loved to learn, had a great memory and a wicked sense of humor. A family handyman, he expressed his talents by building furniture, being a mechanic, and through his woodworking-a heirloom cradle and rocking horses for his grandchildren.
Lynn found enjoyment traveling around on his motorcycle, golfing, running the steam engine at the steam show, and tinkering around with tractors. He spent a lot of time at his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. His stories and seeing him smile at his grandchildren and great grandson are just a small part that will be missed.
He is survived by his wife Linda; his children Shelly Levine, Timothy Levine, Scott (Aimee) Levine, and Nicole Henke. His grandchildren Sarah (John)Hammond, Kylie (Janson) Cooper, Luke, Tyler, and Jada Levine, Jenna, Rylee, and Adelynn Levine, Kerstin and Madison Henke and his Great-grandson Teddy Hammond; his sisters Judy Minnick and Susan (David) Diedrich; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Levine.
