LUZ VAN CROMPHOUT

Luz Van Cromphout, 87, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center in Naperville.

She was born October 5, 1935, in Venezuela, the daughter of Castor and Isabel (Rodriguez) Cotiz. Luz married Gustaaf V.  Van Cromphout on March 24, 1963, in Caracas Venezuela.

Luz enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Beatriz (Evan) Dillman and Jana (Thomas) Cuggino; grandchildren, Alexandra, Julia, Isabella, Adriana, and Talia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustaaf.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Christ The Teacher University Parish, 512 Normal Road, DeKalb, with Fr. Godwin celebrating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.   

Visitation will be from 3pm to 6pm, on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
