LINDA J CLARK

Linda J. Clark, beloved wife, mother, and community advocate, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023, at her home in Cortland, Illinois. She was 65 years old.

Linda was born on December 16, 1957, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Edward and Janet (Canham) Rebek. Throughout her life, she exemplified compassion and generosity, dedicating her time and energy to serving others. Linda selflessly contributed to several charitable organizations including St. Vincent DePaul and Hope Haven. In addition to her time spent in the service of those in need, Linda poured her heart into creating beautiful and intricate quilts for her family. 

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Austin, their children Joshua Clark and Lauren (Roger) Unger, as well as her siblings, Mary (Randy) Robinette and Edward (Joanne) Rebek. Linda’s warm spirit and kindness will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass to honor Linda’s life will be held at 1030 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at St. Mary’s Church, located at 321 Pine Street in Dekalb. The service will be officiated by Fr. Dean Russell. Prior to the Mass, a visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S 4th St, Dekalb. 

Linda J. Clark’s legacy of compassion and dedication will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
