Laverne R. Bobo, 77, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born March 3, 1947, in Mellwood, Arkansas, the daughter of Aunte and Maryze (Gathings) Rose. Laverne married Lee T. Bobo in Chicago, Illinois.

She is survived by her daughter Daphne Bobo; her son Edward (Gina) Bobo; her grandchildren Mikaela, Marcus, Edward Jr., Olivia, Elijah, Jackson, Rylee, Layla, Dawson, Avery and Lauryn; her sister Shirley Rose; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lee; her daughter Glenda Bobo; and by thirteen siblings.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by words of remembrance on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
