Laura L. Huber, 76, of Shabbona, IL, peacefully passed away in her home on November 16th surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s.
Laura was born on January 6th, 1948, to Stanley and Alyce (Augustine) Keasler in Sandwich, IL and graduated from Leland High School in 1966.
On October, 17th 1981, she married Peter Huber of Malta, IL at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in DeKalb, IL.
After a long career she retired in 2015 from First State Bank in Waterman, IL. After retirement Laura enjoyed traveling, whether on road trips with her daughter to see her grandson, out west to visit family, down to Florida on vacation or even the local baseball field to watch her grandson play. She also had a passion for gardening, working out in the yard and weekly Saturday morning breakfasts with family and friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Alyce; father-in-law, Robert Huber; brother-in-law, Dale Kidd and brother-in-law, Scott Woodbury. She is survived by her husband, Peter of Shabbona, IL; daughter, Angela (John) Tyne-Stiles of Greenville, SC, son, Adam (Katlyn) Huber of Oswego, IL, sister, Laurinda Kidd of Leland, IL; grandchildren, Andrew (Megan) Tyne-Stiles of Sarasota, FL, Mason Kniffin, Oaklyn Huber and Bennett Huber of Oswego, IL; mother in law, Donna Huber of DeKalb, IL; sisters-in-law, Laurie Woodbury of West Chicago, IL and Lisa (Christopher) Niemann of Spokane, WA; including numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. 
Visitation Services will be held at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S. 4th Street, DeKalb, IL 60115, on Friday, November 22nd from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Family and friends will gather for funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 302 Fisk Avenue, DeKalb, IL 60115 on Saturday, November 23rd at 10:30 am.
