Laneé Rae Faivre, 34, of Lee, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at her home.
Laneé was born on May 14, 1991, in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Cheryl (Carr) Faivre. She married her high school sweetheart, Edwin Carillo.
Laneé was the devoted mother of her daughter, Anna Rose Carrillo, who was truly the light of her life. She poured her heart into motherhood, spending every possible moment with Anna and creating new traditions that became treasured memories; painting pumpkins each fall, building gingerbread houses every Christmas, and enjoying a cup of ice cream together before bed each night. Laneé made sure every day began and ended with the words, “I love you.”
Laneé grew up in DeKalb, running through the neighborhood with her cousins and friends. She loved spending long summer days swimming at the local pool or camping with her family, catching bullfrogs at “Uncle Louie's Pond”.
As a teenager, Laneé discovered her passion for childcare with the guidance of her best friend. For several years, she served as an instructional assistant at the Early Learning Development Center with District 428, where she worked closely with young children and supported their early education. There, she also found a community of friends who encouraged her to step outside her comfort zone and embrace new experiences.
Friendship was deeply meaningful to Laneé. Her relationships helped shape her into the person she became, filling her life with laughter, heartfelt discussions, and shared time after work.
In 2019, Laneé moved into an old farmhouse in Lee, Illinois with her parents, her partner, and her daughter. She spent months transforming the house into a warm and loving home; refinishing woodwork, painting walls, and carefully hanging memories. Laneé had an ability to see potential in any project and the confidence to bring her vision to life. No goal ever felt out of reach. At “Lee House,” she embraced her love of nature and animals, taking walks around the property with her dog, collecting eggs from her beloved chickens, and nurturing her extensive houseplant collection. It was not unusual to find her dog or a chicken curled up comfortably on her bed.
Laneé was also a thoughtful tattoo enthusiast, ensuring each piece held deep personal meaning. She carried the things she loved most with her always; her pets, especially her dogs and chickens, her family, and most importantly, Anna.
She is survived by her husband Edwin; her daughter Anna Rose; her parents Raymond and Cheryl; her siblings Jason (Mary) Faivre, Keith Faivre, and Lydia (Brandon) Nichols; her grandmother Judith Erickson Bryant; and her nephew and niece Alexander Faivre and Isabella Faivre.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Charles Faivre and grandmother Geri Faivre.
