KENNETH "ROGER" BARCLAY Obituary
Kenneth “Roger” Barclay, 88, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.
He was born September 9, 1937 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Kenneth and Eleanor (Jack) Barclay. Roger married Mary Elizabeth Mark on November 19, 1960 at All Saints Navy Chapel in Jacksonville Florida.
Roger was a Veteran of the US Navy for 4 years, and served on the YMCA and Dekalb County Boards. He was a former member of the Uni Vets, Sycamore United Methodist Church and Malta Lions Club.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, morning coffee with his special friends, bike riding, traveling and sports.
He is survived by his wife Mary; his children D. Troy(Teffanie) Barclay and Kendra Barclay ; his grandchildren Adam and Zachary(Gracie) Barclay. And two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a nephew.
His family would like to thank Kishwaukee Hospital and Compassus Hospice for their excellent care.
A private family graveside service will be held at Malta Cemetery in Malta, Illinois.
