December 26, 1971 ~ July 14, 2023 (age 51) 51 Years Old

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth J. Price, a caring and genuine soul whose love touched the lives of many. He was born on December 26, 1971, and on July 14, 2023, he departed this world, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Kenneth's warm presence and kind spirit endeared him to everyone he encountered. His smile could light up a room, and his compassionate nature was evident in every act of kindness he bestowed upon others. He had a natural ability to make people feel valued and appreciated, and his generosity knew no bounds.

Kenneth's love knew no greater joy than his family. He leaves behind his beloved fiancee, Stephanie Smith, who was his rock and partner in life. Together, they shared dreams and created a beautiful bond that will forever be cherished.

He was a devoted father to his son, Kaynan Price, whom he adored and supported unconditionally. Kenneth's role as a father brought immense pride and joy into his life, and he embraced every moment with Kaynan, leaving behind a legacy of love and guidance that will be carried on for generations.

Kenneth's parents, Robin Price and Floyd Reed, were fortunate to witness his growth and accomplishments throughout his life. Their unwavering love and support were a guiding force in shaping Kenneth into the caring and compassionate person he was.

He was a cherished sibling to Shawn and wife Jennifer Price, with whom he shared a deep bond of love and camaraderie. Kenneth's love extended to his nieces and nephews, Lyric, Autumn, Nia, and great nephew Xander, and also to sibling Markey Price and children, Drake, Damian, Kalina, and Kamira.

Kenneth's love for family extended to his sibling Floyd Price and Tracie Wright, and their children Janah Chase, Tyshawn, and Treylan. Cousins Lareva, Ashley, Wesley, and JJ were like extended siblings, sharing many cherished moments together.

He shared a special bond with cousins Bobby and Tammy, who were like siblings to Kenneth. Tammy’s daughter Mariah and Bobby’s children Jaridian, Antwon and Kavion held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his cherished family members, Kenneth adored his step-daughter, Alexis Smith, and grand-daughter, Valiyana Neibauer.  Alexis held a special place his heart, and he treated her as his own with love and care.  Their bond was one of love and respect, a testament to the loving and accepting person Kenneth was.

Kenneth's love knew no bounds when it came to his extended family as well. He adored his Aunt Genny, cousin Mike, Aunt Ruthie, and Uncle Armen, and shared many fond memories with cousins Sabrina, Samantha, Erica, and Joe. Aunt Annette, Tawanna and Telly, Jamie and Jeannette held a special place in his heart as well, and he cherished every moment spent with them and other family members.

Kenneth’s longtime friends and newfound family for the rest of us David Ruiz and Abram Perez stood by him through thick and thin, offering unwavering support, love, and friendship during both joyous and challenging times. Your presence in Kenneth’s life meant the world to him, and your memory will live on in his heart forever.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandmother Grace McDonald, aunt Sharon Lee, grandmother Louise Hunter, and uncle Willie. Though they are no longer with us, their love and memories will forever live on in our hearts.

A visitation will be held on Friday July 28, 2023 from 2pm to 8pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S 4th St. DeKalb, IL 60115. Interment will take place Saturday July 29, 2023 at 11am at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
