Katelyn Nicole Schultz, 22, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at home.

She was born May 3, 2001, in Hinsdale, Illinois, the daughter of Anthony and Laura (Guptill) Schultz.

Katelyn was a graduate of DeKalb High School class of 2019. She then graduated from Kishwaukee College in 2022 with an Associate’s Degree in Education. She worked as a substitute teacher for DeKalb Elementary Schools while she attended Northern Illinois University as a education major.

She is survived by her parents; her brother Dylan, her sister Alexa; her grandfather Michael Guptill; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Robert and Carol Schultz and her maternal grandmother Debra Guptill.

The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb. 

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at  3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
