Julie K DeBolt, 63, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in her home surrounded by family.

She was born January 24, 1961, in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Sylvia (Gronberg) Higgins. Julie married Jack DeBolt on May 17, 1986 in Sycamore, Illinois.

Julie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like spending an evening at bingo with friends or passionately watching her Tennessee Volunteers Football team. More than anything, she loved time spent with her loved ones. Julie finished her working career with Wagner's Excavating in 2021.

She is survived by her husband Jack; her daughter Cassie (Matt) Pena; her grandchildren Austin (Morgan Albertsen) Eggleston, Kiernan Pena and Mackenzie Albertsen; her mother Sylvia Higgins; her siblings Jan Mathews, Joyce Higgins, Jeanne (Andy) Morris; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Arthur “Pinky” Higgins; grandmother Maggie Higgins; grandmother Emma Gronberg and uncle LaVerne “Mouse” Gronberg.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday July 21, 2024 at PJ’s Courthouse Tavern, 202 W State Street, Sycamore, Illinois. Please wear bright colors to honor her bright personality.
