Joanne Kay Miller, 75, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Aperion Care DeKalb.
She was born August 9, 1949, in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Clawson) Butts.
Joanne was a office secretary in Illinois, Missouri and Michigan, and worked for IHS distribution in Kalamazoo, Michigan retiring in 2015. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her sister. She also enjoyed spending time outside including gardening, fishing and farming.
She is survived by her husband Gregory; her daughter Geni (Allen) Collins; her grandchildren Felecia Collins and Ranzy (Kristina) Collins; her step sons Shane and Noah Miller; her step daughter Angie Farmer; numerous step grandchildren; her sister Cherry Keller; and her brother Ron (Cindy) Butts; also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry Miller.
A visitation will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm at Bethany Road Bible Church, 2215 Bethany Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115. There will be a service at 2pm.
