Jerry Carman, 77, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.
He was born May 14, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Jerome and Julia (Berkson) Carman.
Jerry was a Veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam War where he received multiple military decorations including a Bronze Star.
He was a stubborn man with a huge heart who loved his family wholeheartedly and loved watching sports just as much. He had a corny yet funny sense of humor, he would laugh at his own jokes and it just made others laugh. He took life as it came and dealt with it in his own way. Jerry Carman was a private man a simple man and a very kind and caring man. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed so very much.
He is survived by his daughters Brandi (Dave) Hanson and Gerri Carman; his grandchildren Josiah Wales, Anthony Faciano, Nicholas Faciano, and Charlie Hanson; his brother Richard (Terri) Carman; and his sister Lana (Sven) Franzen and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Troy Hull and his parents.
The Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 4301 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois with Military Honors.
