JEARLENE TALBERT Obituary

Jearlene Talbert, 86, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, in DeKalb, Illinois. 

Born on April 10, 1939, in Claiborne County Tennessee, Jearlene’s life spanned eight and a half decades marked by resilience, dedication, and quiet strength.

She built a long and steady career at General Electric, where she worked 25 years until her retirement in 1996. Her years of hard work reflected her commitment to providing for her family.

Jearlene was a devoted mother and grandmother. Jearlene Sharp married Chris Talbert in April 1965 and they just recently celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary, surrounded by family and friends.

Jearlene had 5 sons: Lonnie (Tammy) Lowe, Stanley (Janelle)Lowe, John (Terri)Talbert, Rod (Tina)Talbert, and Joe Talbert. Her grandchildren include Tony Lowe, Nephateria (Jeremiah) Bean, John (Betty) Lowe, Sharon Talbert, Christopher (Ally) Talbert, Nicole (Ryan) Peck, Ashley (Mike) Rosequist and Bradley (Whitney) Talbert. Jearlene also had four sisters and six brothers, numerous great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Her family and friends were a central part of her life, and her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lissie Bray, all of her sisters and brothers, her eldest son, Lonnie Lowe, and her beloved granddaughter, Sharon (Sherri) Talbert.

A visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, Visitation is from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
