Jayden Wesley Blumenberg, age 13, of DeKalb, Illinois, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois. Jayden was born on February 8, 2012, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was currently attending Clinton Rosette Middle School in DeKalb, Illinois.

Jayden had a deep love for fishing and basketball. From 2023 to 2025, he proudly played basketball for Clinton Rosette Middle School, where his brothers and loved ones witnessed his great improvement and growing passion for the game.

Above all, Jayden was a beloved son, brother, family member, and friend. He cherished spending time with his friends and brought joy to those around him.

Jayden is survived by his parents, Demetria Bailey and Miles Ziga; his siblings, Dakwaun, Javier, Adrian, Aaron, Julianna, and Malachi; his grandparents, Ken (Julie) Ziga and grandma J Demetria Powell; great grandparents Albert and Alice Ratfield; his uncles, Willie Bailey Jr., Lashaun Bailey, and Mahdee Powell; his aunts, MTeesha Houskins, Melisa Bailey Stidham, Mattie Bailey, and Sarah Ziga; and his dear niece, Ayanna; great uncle's James Powell, Winslow Powell, Stan Thompson; uncle's Kurt Sexton, Glen Ziga, and Paul Ziga: He is also survived by a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A special acknowledgment is extended to the Bomar family—Mary, Vanessa, Donte, and Tatyana—for their continued love and support.

Jayden was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie L. Bailey; his grandmother, Margerite Bailey; his great-grandmothers, Thelma Powell and Mary J. Bailey; and his great-uncles, Samuel E. Beatty, Donald R. (Cheryl) Appleton, and Robert E. Bailey; Sister kamiyah Bailey.

Jayden’s life was meaningful, impactful, and deeply cherished. His legacy lives on in the love he gave, the joy he shared, and the countless memories created with family, friends, teammates, and all who were blessed to know him.

A Visitation will take place on Saturday January 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
