JAMI LEE WARD

Jami Lee Ward, 37, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at her home.

She was born December 31, 1985, in Noblesville, Indiana, the daughter of Richard Goodwin and Karen (Bentley) Beason. Jami married Mitchell L. Ward on April 8, 2016.

Jami was employed at Jewel Osco Supermarket.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughter.  She shared Mitch’s love for motorcross sporting events.

She is survived by her daughter, Aleigh; her sisters (Kristin Pratt, Casie Raquet, and Alexis Harris), her brothers (Richard Goodwin, Michael Goodwin, David Beason, Isaiah Crum, and Tyler Goodwin), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her father.  She is also survived by her father in-law Christopher Ward, mother-in law Teresa Ward, and her sister-in law Lisa.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mitch in 2021.  She loved Mitch very much and he truly was her best friend.

Services and interment were held privately.  Jami was a sweet and compassionate woman who was loved by many people.  She had a way of bringing joy to everyone she met.  She will be dearly missed.
