HELEN R. TEAGUS Obituary
Helen R. Teagus, 84, of DeKalb, Illinois, died Friday, June 6, 2025, at home.
She was born August 4, 1940, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, the daughter of John and Maggie Evans. She married Jesse James Teagus on February 19, 1958, in Chicago.
She is survived by her children, James F. (Hattie) Teagus of DeKalb, Sherbie (Demitrius) Glen of DeKalb, Jimmie (Annette) Teagus of Dixmoor; her grandson Eric Teagus and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five children.
A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held at a later date.
