Frankie M. Lowman, 82, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois. She was born June 26, 1941, in Union Springs, Alabama, the daughter of Frank Sanders and Nellie Lloyd.
Frankie moved from Union Springs at a very young age with her mother and two sibling to California and then later to Chicago. She graduated from Hyde Park High School and began working for Spiegel’s Inc. Frankie dated and fell in love with Mr. George M. Williams and they had two beautiful children, Marvin Williams, her son who proceeded her in death and Rochelle Williams Henderson. Frankie was the elder of their children. She later on in life met and married Phillip Lowman who proceeded her in death. No children came from this union but Frankie did love her stepchildren, Lisa and Phillip Lowman Jr.
Frankie had a Big Beautiful Heart with a Big Beautiful Smile. She truly will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle Williams (Edward) Henderson; three sisters, Betty (Kenny) Miller of Chicago; Gwen Sanders of Union Springs, Alabama and Laverne Yates of Kankakee, Illinois; four brothers, Johnnie Sanders of Chicago, Bob Sanders of Union Springs, Alabama, Jean and Kido Sanders of Florida; 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousin who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Church, 50 E. 41st, Chicago, Illinois.
