Florence Janice Salisbury, 85, of Cortland, Illinois, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.

 She was born July 26, 1939 in Jamaica, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Cecilia (Sheehy) Hunt. Florence married Daryl Salisbury on October 7, 1960, in Jackson, Minnesota.

 Florence was employed at Walmart in DeKalb for 13 years prior to retiring. She enjoyed fixing music boxes, spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards, especially Bunco and Pinochle. Florence also enjoyed traveling throughout her life and with her husband Daryl in retirement.

 She is survived by her daughter Sheila (Michael) Ryan of Wingate, NC; her son Bert (Debra) S. of Boise, ID; several grand and great-grandchildren; and her sister Jolene Welder.  

 She was preceded in death by her husband Daryl; her son Ronald E.B. Salisbury; her stepdaughter Kamron Salisbury; her two grandsons and two granddaughters; and four sisters and two brothers.

 The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb, with Rev. Mike Velez officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Rest Cemetery in Cortland, Illinois.

 Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
