Eva Pesuth 98, of DeKalb, Illinois passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Aperion Care in DeKalb.

She was born at home on December 12, 1925 in DeKalb, Illinois the daughter of Frank and Rose (Juratic) Pesuth.  A lifelong resident of DeKalb, she lived at her current address for 98 years.  She was employed for 27 years as a cosmetic consultant at Lehan Drugs in DeKalb.  She then went on to work at Tom Sparks Car Dealership for many years.  She was well known in the DeKalb community and enjoyed interacting with the many people she met.  

Eva loved spending time with her extended family along with her beloved dogs.  She enjoyed gardening, making meals to share with her family and friends, traveling, crosswords and reading.   

She is survived by her nieces, Arlene Rafoth, Kathy Mills, Annette (John) Rissman, Linda (Mark) Moczynski; her nephews Eugene (Kim) Hall, Ron (Deb) Hall, James (Jan) Pesuth and many great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sister and nephew.  

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at St. Mary’s Church, 244 Waterman Street, Sycamore, Illinois.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
