Douglas C. Black, 79, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.
He was born July 31, 1945, in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of George and Arlene (Culver) Black.
Douglas was a member of the First Lutheran Church in DeKalb and was a lifetime member of the DeKalb Elks Club, where he had served as an Exalted Ruler.
Douglas enjoyed bowling and fishing and was an avid Packers fan.
He is survived by his wife Debby; his daughter Heather A. Black of DeKalb; and his grandson Nathaniel Black of DeKalb.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
