DORIS J. ANDERSON

Doris J. Anderson, 95, of DeKalb, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Aperion Care in DeKalb. 

 She was born December 20, 1928, in DeKalb, the daughter of Arthur and Ida (Nordlund) Anderson.

 Doris was a lifelong resident of DeKalb.  She graduated from DeKalb High School in 1946, and then in 1958, she received a Secretarial Certificate from the Gregg Division School of Business at Northwestern University in Chicago.  Doris was employed by the DeKalb County courthouse and deGraffenried and Fisher Clinical Laboratories.

 Doris was an avid golfer for many years and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds.

 She is survived by her grand-niece Stephanie Rawden and her grand-nephew Christian Rawden; also many extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Betty Cowdrey.

 The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday February 20, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb with the Rev. Dr. Janet Hunt, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.

 Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
