Dona Jo Leppanen, 80, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

 She was born September 17, 1943, in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Doris (Eckberg) Lindstrom. Dona married William Leppanen on Febuary 16, 1963, at the First Lutheran Church in DeKalb.

 She is survived by her children Rusty (Madie) Leppanen and Vicky Leppanen; her grandchildren Lilee, Liam, and Lauralei; her sister Cheryl (John) Countryman.

 She was preceded in death by her husband William; her parents and her sister Karren Maercker.

 A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Fairview Park Cemetery, in DeKalb.
