Deborah Lucille Hatcher, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 21st, 2024 after a yearlong battle with cancer. 

She was born July 18th, 1954 in Grinnell, Iowa.  She was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Elliott) Hatcher. 

Debbie grew up in Iowa, graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1973.  After graduating she studied at Maranatha Bible University in Watertown, WI.

Debbie relocated to Gilbert, AZ after college.  She had a long working career with Motorola and then Express Scripts from which she retired.

Debbie loved the Lord and when physically able, attended church.  Her favorite times were spent with her large circle of lifetime friends and her family.  While she never had children of her own, her kitties were considered her fur babies and she loved them a lot.  Cali, was her last kitty,  and it was very hard for Debbie when she was not able to care for her after she became ill. 

She is survived by her sister, Susan (Bill) Perez, one nephew, Dustin (Timi) Morgan, two nieces, Melissa (Scott) Campbell, and Mary (Julianna) Morgan, three great nephews, one great niece, her Aunt Norma Mae VandeKamp and six cousins.

There will be a private family viewing at the Anderson Funeral Home and a private family burial service where Debbie will be laid to rest next to her parents at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb, IL.

Since Debbie spent most of her adult life in Arizona, a Celebration of Life will be held there for her on February 3rd, 2024.  This celebration will take place at Southeast Valley Bible Church, 710 E. Williams Field Rd.  Gilbert, AZ 85295.
