Deane G. McConkey, 90, of DeKalb Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Bethany Rehab and Heath Care Center in DeKalb. 
He was born December 4, 1934 in Champaign, Illinois, the son of Jay and Opal (Chesshir) McConkey. 
He is survived by his sons James (Theresa) and Mark; his daughter Saundra; several grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his sister-in-law Mary McConkey; two nieces; and the mother of his children Vickie McConkey. 
He was preceded in death by his sons John and Thomas; his granddaughter Brittany; his parents; and three brothers.
The family would like to thank Mr. Jon McGuane for all of his help over the last several years and for being such a good friend to our father.
There will be no services.
