DANIEL EDGAR HOFFMANN

Daniel Edgar Hoffmann, 49, of Earlville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on July 29, 1977, in Winfield, Illinois, the son of David and Susan (Fuqua) Hoffmann.
Daniel was a self-employed carpenter who dedicated more than 20 years to his business, Hoffmann Builders. He later became a member of the Laborers’ and Carpenters’ unions. A true jack of all trades, Daniel especially enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events, spending time outdoors, and never missed a Green Bay Packers game.
He is survived by his children, Daniel Hoffmann and Annistyn Hoffmann, both of Earlville, Illinois; his mother, Susan, of Porum, Oklahoma; his brother, Tavis (Cristi Cain) Hoffmann, of Porum, Oklahoma; his niece and goddaughter, Taya Hoffmann, of DeKalb, Illinois; and his stepson, Levi Alexander (Grace Keller), of Somonauk, Illinois; the mother of his children Angela Henczel; as well as many cousins, step-nieces, step-nephews, .
He was preceded in death by his father.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Fairview Park Cemetery, 1600 S. 1st St, in DeKalb. A celebration of life will follow at 1pm at Katz Park, 393 West Dresser Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115. 

Another celebration of life event will be held at Earlville Town Hall on August 16, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm.
