Connie L. Smith, 66, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at her home.

She was born March 28, 1959 in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Charley and Dorothy (Warner) Brown. 

Connie worked in the Deli Department at Jewel in DeKalb, then she retired in 2024 from Sunoco in DeKalb. She also helped out at her son’s shop Jay’s Detailing in DeKalb. Connie enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, decorating her home and yard, spending time with her family and her cat, Wrigley.  Connie deeply loved and cared about her friends.

She is survived by her son Jeremiah (Mykael) Smith of Sycamore; her brother Tim (Tammie) Mosher of Rochelle; her nephew Charlie (Kelly) Brown of DeKalb; her great nieces Nevaeh and Kylie; and her great nephews Charlie and Ryker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Charley and Dorothy Brown; her brothers Merle & Ronnie Brown; her great niece Lilly Brown; her great nephew Jaxson Brown; and her aunt Belle Riddle.

Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at Fairview Park Cemetery, in DeKalb.
