Colette M. Sanders-Harding’s sunrise to her parents Frederick Jr & Carol Sanders was at Ellsworth Airforce base, Rapid City S.D.
 
Colette attended Kenwood Elementary, Champaign IL and Uni High, Urbana, IL, going on to receiving her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University in 2012, Cum Laude
 
In 1999 Colette married Ken Harding and later in 2003 Colette was blessed with her bundle of joy her Dj.
 
Colette worked various jobs with Kraft Foods, Chi Chi's & Portillo's restaurants providing her most memorable times,. Later Colette had to quit work due to health issues. During this time Colette continued  her passion for her Native American Culture, she enjoyed reading, watching movies such as Fight Club, The Matrix Series and Signs to name a few. Colette enjoyed going home when she could, to visit her mom who lived on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota.
 
Colette is survived by her son Dj, hunka daughter Shelby Carlson, her mom Carol Sanders, Fort Yates ND.  Her sister Denise Grooms Cook (Greg) of Cincinnati, her hunka sister ,Carrie Long Cloud Fort Yates ND, her brother Richard (Janet) Sanders of Winnipeg Canada. Also Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, her two dearest friends Darla Faul & Gigi Hacker, and finally her fur babies, Sammy & the late Mister.

The family would like to apologize if we may have forgotten anyone during this difficult time  

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb
