Cheryl Ann Riggs, 67, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on January 26th, 2025 at NM Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois.

She was born on July 1st, 1957 in Mason County, West Virginia to Paul and Beryl (Lawton) Riggs.

Cheryl was the best mom to her children Matt (Melissa) McIntyre of DeKalb, Melanie McIntyre-Lemek of Machesney Park, Ben (Laurie) McIntyre of Joliet, and Brian (Sandy) McIntyre of LaGrange. She was a loving and fun Grandma to ten grandchildren and two great grandsons. She was the sister of Cinda (Robin) Kleppetsch of Sycamore, Larry (Debbie) Riggs of New Milford, Paul Jr (Bev) of Texas, Janet Riggs of Texas, Eddie (Leslie) of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step parents; her brothers Darryl, Bruce and Phillip Riggs; and her sisters Pauletta Bement and Rhonda Gorter; her bonus mom Ann Edwards; and nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb with Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Private family burial will be at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.  

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
