Charlotte Williams, 81, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born October 25, 1942, in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Emmet and Mary (Eberly) Armstrong. Charlotte married John D. Williams in Sycamore on April 27, 1963.
Charlotte was the Supervisor of Transportation for TransVac and later TransDev for over 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the DeKalb Disabilities Board.
She is survived by her children Rhonda Hinkle of DeKalb, John (Chris) Williams of Mannford, OK, and Ken (Debbie) Wessenberg of Melrose Park; her 27 grandchildren; her 28 great-grandchildren; and her great-great grandson; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 29, 1990; her daughter Patty Story; her son Jason Williams; her parents Emmet and Mary; her 3 brothers Jim Armstrong, Duane Armstrong, and Steve Armstrong; her two sisters Janice Simmons and Pam Arbogast. She also missed her beloved dog, Lucy.
A Celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at the DeKalb Moose Lodge.
