Charles L. Albertson, 85, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center.

He was born November 5, 1940, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Carl and Alice Albertson.

Charles owned Lally Accounting Services in DeKalb for many years before retiring in 2019. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan who enjoyed good food and spending time with family, especially hosting Thanksgiving gatherings. Charles was an advocate for higher education for the many young people he considered his “kids” and was known for his selflessness, always putting others first.

He is survived by his 34 “kids” in the Northern Illinois area.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb. His family requests that those who have White Sox attire to please wear it in honor of Charles. A private family interment of cremated remains will be at a later date at Fairview Park Cemetery, in DeKalb, Illinois.
