CARL L GREEN

Carl L Green, 88, of DeKalb passed away on May 7, 2023 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

Carl was born on March 17, 1935 in Wayne County, Illinois to Hubert and Chloe (Daniels) Green.  He married his Wife Lela (Austin) on December 8th, 1957, and served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959.  He worked as a Foreman at General Electric in DeKalb, Il for 39 years prior to enjoying his retirement. Carl was a member of Crossview Church where he enjoyed attending services with his Wife Lela and their Crossview family.  Carl was an avid reader; no book was too large for him to enjoy. He had a passion for finance, and he enjoyed following the Stock Market. Although he was a quiet, soft-spoken person, Carl was highly intelligent, and very quick-witted. 

Carl is survived by his loving wife Lela; children Kathy (Anita) Green and Ken (Betty) Green; sisters Delores “Dee” Jones and Connie (Dennis) Johnson; sister-in-law Laura Austin, Sue Green; many nieces/nephews, and a host of dear friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Clyde “Gabe” Austin; brothers Bob and Harold Green; sister-in-law’s Anne Baker, Bonnie Sanders, Faye Green and brother-in-law’s Bill Austin and Marvin Sanders

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10am until time of service at 12pm at Crossview Church located at 150 Bethany Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115. Interment will take place at 2pm at Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb.
