Bradley Gene Bjelk Sr., 71, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025.
Born and raised in DeKalb, Brad lived a life defined by integrity, kindness, and devotion to the people and passions that meant the most to him. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he found great joy in both participating in athletics and supporting the sporting pursuits of his two sons. His enthusiasm, encouragement, and love of the game left a lasting impression on everyone who shared those moments with him.

Brad was equally devoted to animals and possessed a deep compassion for all living creatures. His home was always a welcoming place for pets, and his gentle nature extended to every animal he encountered.

He is survived by his two sons, Bradley Bjelk Jr. and Brock Bjelk. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Bjelk, and his mother, Gertrude Bjelk.

Brad will be remembered for his warm heart, quiet strength, and the steadfast love he gave to his family, friends, and animals alike. His legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
