Anthony Rutigliano of Malta passed away on September 22, 2024 at Liberty Village in Rochelle. He was born in Italy on April 24, 1942 to Michele and Rosa Rutigliano. He loved his family and friends. He loved to garden and enjoyed his daily glass of red wine or cognac. He also loved to play cards and cheer on his San Francisco 49ers. He also loved to make his focaccia bread for his friends and family. He was known as the life of the party and his dancing skills proved that every time.
He is survived by his wife Anna; Children Michael (Norma) Rutigliano, Maria Linda (Mark) Male, Elsa (Michael) Andres and Michelle (Phil) Bruning; Grandchildren Mikala (Nick) Ward, Peter Piazza, Hannah (Cody Starr) Hehn, Jessica (Dominic) Monaco, Miguel, Jayda and Nelly Delvalle; Great Grandchildren Aurora and Lucas Ward, Mia and Alba Monaco; Siblings Anna (Jack) Benson, Linda (the late Skip) Jensen, Lucy Rutigliano, Joe (Madeline) Rutigliano and Frank (the late Lucy) Rutigliano; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 11am until time of funeral service at 2pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115.
