April L. Allen, 43, of Maple Park, Illinois, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born October 11, 1982, in St. Charles, Illinois, the daughter of Dennis and Janice (Walters) Allen.

April was a free spirit, sweet, charming and always willing to lend a helping hand. She was determined when she put her mind to something.

She is survived by her children Veronica Rose Salazar of Cortland and Antonio (Tara Olson) Salazar of Maple Park; her parents Dennis and Janice Allen; her brother Robert (Tammy Wegener) Allen of St. Charles; her nieces Alainna Ann and Sophie Emily; and her grandson Killua.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Dean and Pauline Allen and her maternal grandparents Chester and Essielee Walters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
