April (Mitchell) Walker 47, of DeKalb died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 3, 2024.  She was born April 11, 1977 in DeKalb and was the daughter of David and Bonnie (Stewart) Mitchell.
April was a mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She showed her love and appreciation for her family by helping them however she could – cooking, cleaning, yardwork, running errands; if it was in her power to do so, she would gladly do it. Her favorite saying was “I love you with all my heart, all my soul and with your strength.”
She is survived by her children; Samantha, Zachary, Joshua and Benjamin, three grandsons; Christopher, Mason and Nikolas, one sister, Tammy Harper; two brothers, Justin (Erin) Mitchell and Shaun (Breta) Mitchell, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Christopher Walker.
